Having more than 20 years of experience as a nurse academician, researcher, and leader while working as Lecturer, Reader, and Professor of Nursing at Dayanand Medical College & Hospitals, Ludhiana [Jun 2005 – Mar 2013]; Professor & Principal and Dean, College of Nursing at AIIMS Rishikesh [2013 Mar – 2020 Dec] and currently serving as Professor & Principal, College of Nursing, AIIMS Jodhpur [w.e.f. 2020 Dec.] Visiting professor at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai [2020 Dec to fill date]. Besides being an examiner of UG/PG and PhD examiner at several universities/ institutions in India, also serving as a postgraduate/ doctoral nursing examiner at Sultan Qaboos University Muscat, Oman, and the University of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei.

Authored-06; edited-05 textbooks in nursing and contributed more than 150 research papers in indexed journals with h-index-12. Also served as editor and member of the editorial team in national and international journals of repute. Founder President, Society of Perioperative Nursing, India, and Society for Critical Care Nursing, India. Currently serving as a board member in the International Federation of Preoperative Nurses (IFPN). Delivered 12 international and more than 150 national keynote/ plenary/ invited talks at conferences. Conferred with many prestigious awards including ‘Florence Nightingale Award-2001’. Areas of research are nursing education, critical care nursing, and diabetes.
