Professional Biography

Having more than 15 years of experience as a nurse academician, researcher, and leader while working as Assistant Professor of Nursing at Sarabha College of Nursing (June 2009-July 2010) & Dayanand Medical College & Hospitals, Ludhiana [July 2010 – June 2016]; Assistant /Associate Professor, College of Nursing at AIIMS Rishikesh (June 2016 till date). At AIIMS Rishikesh, along with the regular posting in the College of Nursing, I was conferred with several additional responsibilities like Nursing Superintendent, Assistant Dean of Student Welfare, Provost for the nursing student hostel, and Member of the Research Review Board of the Institute. Examiner of UG/PG at several universities/ institutions in India.

Published a chapter in book in Nursing Education, Reviewed two books on Pediatric Nursing, and contributed about 40 research papers in indexed journals. Also served as editor and member of the editorial team in national and international journals of repute. Delivered talks at national and international conferences. Conferred with several awards, including Teachers Day Award 2018 at AIIMS Rishikesh for teacher with distinguished research aptitude, got 2nd place in Hackhaton by John Hopkins Institute at Sigma International Research Conference, 2019 Canada, Received Leadership Grant from Sigma in 2019. Areas of research are nursing education, neonatal nursing, and adolescent health.
